I recently reserved 11 rooms for Hershey Park Days Inn. I was told that the u had to cancel 24 hrs before check in date. Well I canceled all 11 rooms which was in my name 10 days in advance and received a cancellation number.

1 Week after the date I was to arrive I checked my debit card and was charged 11 times at 214.00 Dollars. I contacted the hotel and they advised me that I should have 11 cancellation number not one. How stupid. I left a message for the mgr to no avail I never received a phone call needless to say I received a credit. Well Monday 9/18 there was a charge again for 11 rooms. I disputed the charges with my bank and left another message for the manager Monday and also today, I have not heard from him yet..

I have contacted Better Business Bureau and have contacted a lawyer this is obviously some kind of fraud.

If you only had one reservation number for all 11 reservations then you are correct.  If you had a separate reservation number for each of the 11 rooms then you should have received 11 cancellation numbers.

I have reserved multiple rooms, all in my name, on several occasions and I have always received a separate reservation number for each room.

    Days Inn sucks
I went online to reserve a room, did it all, unfortunately, I didnt read all the small print (who does do that for some of these reservation places anyways), found out after my meetings got cancelled and when I called to cancel the room, that there is a NO CANCELLATION policy for reservations done online.  WHAT COMPANY DOES THAT??? And then I was told that I picked the Advance Purchase Room, well I went online and checked again and thats all that was available to pick.  Very misleading, it should say in big letters before you click next "NO CANCELLATION; SALE FINAL"  or something, which it doesnt.

    so much for customer care
I too, am a victim of Days Inn  No Cancellation policy.  I cancelled the reservation 11 days in advance, this was the days inn at lancaster pa. The reservation was for a shopping trip with my mom & 2 sisters, 2 rooms. Eleven days before our trip we were informed that our dad has 6 months to live, needless to say, my mom and us didn't feel like shopping or leaving our dad at this time.  That very same day i contacted days inn to cancel reservation, i was then informed that i should have read the NO CANCELLATION POLICY. I made the reservation via web.  Regardless of policy, under some circumstances, most industries will waive the policy terms.  My profession is customer service, which is all about the customer. Not with this company, the charge of 316.00 remains on my credit card.  I am not sure where I will go next with this issue, any advice would be appreciated.  I really think this company should be more sensative to their customers.

I reserved a night stay at Days Inn Oakhurst but cancelled it the same day 01/20/2008. Months later on 05/20/2008 I received a charge for the one night totalling $340.00 I called but the lady would just jot down my info and said the manager will call me back. I never received a call back from them and now trying to dispute the charge from my Credit card company. Reserved a night stay, cancelled same day wasnt given a code and later charged

    Damage Resulting
Might be out $340.00 for a one night reservation that I did not check in.

What I find so funny about the people that book on the Days Inn website and just can not read. I was on their website and when I was looking at rooms I saw not one but two warnings that my booking was an advance purchase and that I would not be able to cancel /change or get a refund. No small print it was just there. I suggest that when you are booking a room that you READ what you are about to agree to. Stop blaming someone else for you MISTAKE. I know when I check a box that states I have agreed to the terms and conditions and that I have read it that I do. Stop you whinning for your errors.

Would never stay in a Days Inn ever again.  Room was nasty and they would not cancel our reservations.  Would not recommend anyone to stay at any Days Inn ever.  St. Joseph, Mo was just disgusting.

Hi, I booked 5 rooms at the Wendover Days Inn during Speed Week at Bonneville and received a confirmation email which showed a price of $72 p/n and a cancellation of 24 hours. They have now contacted me and told me that the rooms rate was incorrect and should have been $200 p/n and the cancelllation policy is now 4 months. Can they do this??? Unfortunatly there isnt any other rooms available at that time otherwise I would cancel.

I made a reservation with the actual hotel in Albany GA.  Sent over a credit card authorization form. Then I was told to cancel the reservation.  I called the hotel and was told that the General Manager was the only one who could do that.  Ohh the clerk could have the GM call me tonight at 11 PM.  I'm not going to be at work at that time.  What a bunch of crooks.

I too am disatisfied with the Days in cancellation policy.  I booked 3 nights in Carroll Iowa.  I cancelled a month in advance and they really dont care what the reason is.  I will NEVER use Days Inn again.

I accidently booked a reservation at a Days Inn in the wrong state.  I typed in the city and state but the actual web page was for another Days Inn in another state.  When the receipt printed I saw the error and contacted them immediately.  It took only a few seconds for me to make contact with their web assistant.  The individual I connected with told me they would fix it.  I agreed since it was just a few seconds and it was an honest error.  Though I do feel that there was something deceptive going on when I was directed to a different states website than the one I entered.  The individual said to make a phone call and gave me the number. When I called the number the representative I spoke too tried very hard to fix the problem but the local manager refused to back the charges off. I couldn't understand since they had not had time to actually lose another reservation and honestly, 2 seconds. I called the manager directly after the customer service agent had spoken with her and the person at the front desk said the manager had left for the night. Two seconds...I would think that people realize a simple error and with so quick a response be able to fix it.  The web page said I was booking with the Days Inn reservation desk, I wasn't. When I read the other complaints above I was upset. I have worked customer service and that is not the way you treat customers.  You want to be of assistance and build customer and brand support.   My question is do these franchise locations represent the values and moral code of the owner of Wyndham Hotels.  I wonder if Wyndham is aware of the situation and cares. Wyndham Hotels has an excellent reputation. I don't understand what is going on.

I reserved a room at Days Inn Wild Wild West by phone. I was informed that I had up to 24 hours prior to arriving to cancel at no charge. We were not due there for 4 months from now. We decided to switch hotels so I cancelled 4 days after my initial reservation by phone. I was assured by the rep that I would not be charged and was given a cancellation number. The next day I checked with my credit card company and discovered I was in fact charged. I placed a dispute with my card company giving them the cancellation number I was provided. I must wait 15 days for a response but I feel confident I will prevail in this matter. NEVER NEVER  book a room with these people. Also there is a site that shows reports of this hotel being run over by bed bugs. Just saying.

It sounds like it is time for a class-action lawsuit against Days Inn.
