unavability specific channel 889

I'm so disappointed about receiving Polish channels from  Rogers.  From time to time there are technical difficulties  for few hours but recently from 3 days this channel (889) is completely unavailable.   I don't know if this is a coincident but right now in Poland for 5 days is a big event (World Youth Day) with the presence of Pope Francis.  Many young people from all around world are gathering there and Polish TV (TVP) is transmitting live all activities.  I was hoping that I also could witness somehow (if only watching TV) this event and I'm so disappointed that this could not happened because this channel is unavailable. I called Rogers and I've been only transferred by the agent to the automated message that Rogers experiencing technical difficulties without any further explanation.  I'm very disappointed firstly that I can not watch this channel since this event has been prepared for 2 years secondly that Rogers being paid ($35 +taxes every year ) is delivering such a poor service and not doing everything to fix a problem.  I'm expecting better service from Rogers after being loyal customer for many years.
