Terrible Service and Support

I booked a trip for my parents through Expedia and there was an issue on the day of the return trip and they could not board the flight. I called expedia to rebook their trip and they said I had to contact the airline, who in turn said I had to contact Expedia. Well, I booked the trip via Expedia, they provided me with the ticket, I paid them, not the airliner so they were supposed to be able to help me with my problem.
Their customer service team and system is ridiculous and less than helpful, they were not able to resolve the issue, they were not able to find an alternative and they do not allow to escalate the problem to higher managers.
They offered to contact me in up to 72 hours, and all I got was an email saying:
"I see that you have already reached us via phone before I was able to contact you. It looks like information for your flight has already been given to you on 21 FEB 2022 under case id S#106583406.

No solution to the problem, no apologies, no excuses... NOTHING!
Expedia is simply terrible in customer service and I will NEVER again use them.
