"We just received a call yesterday informing us that we can not stay at The Palace Cove due to a "Kosher Event", The Pesach Group, taking place next week. We have had our trip booked and paid for since Sept. 6 of 2011. Never once was it mentioned that an event would be held during this time. We specifically booked this hotel as we are traveling with three of our children. We can not get anyone in authority to answer our questions or return our calls. As I said, we are to leave Saturday morning. My husband finally got someone on the phone this afternoon who said our reservations had already been moved to Cancun Palace. We do not want to stay at Cancun Palace, we would have booked that resort if that is where we wanted to stay. We are extremely upset and very disappointed with Palace Resorts. I want an answer explaining how my reservation can be moved to another resort without my consent. We have repeatedly been told that someone will return our calls and we have yet to receive a call.  I want others to be aware of this.  Had we known about Palace Resorts poor public relation policies, we never would have joined.

I agree with you. My husband and I were blatantly lied to about the membership benefits. We discovered later and have since been trying to get out of the contract; but they don’t seem to care at all if the sales people has lied or has given wrongful information; we have stressed this out to their service department but they simply do not care. All they want is to force us to stay.  This is a good article from Mexican Timeshare Solutions on how most of the Mayan Palace timeshare scams are committed:
