have received ten calls in the last week at all hours of the day.  They hang up when answering machine picks up.  Never leave message.  We are on the Do Not Call list and still they call!!  How do you make them stop?!!  Looked them up on the internet and they are apparently annoying more folks than just me.

    If they are failing to honor your Do Not Call listing, file a complaint with the FTC and the Connecticut AG.

    they call every evening, never leave a message, hang up when the answering machine connects.....it is a tremendous annoyance!  I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST.....ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!  Their phone number is 203-481-8212....DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS !!!!!

    Chances are they are a market research group and are therefore exempt from the DNC list. They get your number from private list sources and it is in fact legal.
    Most of the research firms instruct their employees to hang up when they get a answering machine and go to the next number, then whoever the next person is that gets the list with your number calls you again and so on and so forth. The companies believe that they have a better chance of getting a complete survey if they try to call you again rather than leaving a message.
    They are not going to stop until their project is finished... either pick up and hang up, pick up and say youre not interested or just do whatever survey they are trying to get you to do... those are the easiest ways to stop the calling... until they start a new project in your area with a new call list from a private list source.

    I used to do surveys online with a company and filled out forms then I started getting many phone calls wanting personal and financial info. Hiding their phone numbers "Unknown Name Unknown Number, and spoof (they put my own phone number in my caller ID}.
    For 3 years now I've been harassed by people calling me for someone that don't live here and sending bills at my address that's not in my name that I don't know and I had to return to sender.
    I would advise anyone not to do any surveys because they sell your info. That how these companies and collection agencies get your telephone number and address, they call you to make you pay someone else bills. Don't talk to these people. The law don't protect the consumers.
