Upright Vacuum cleaner

I purchased an Upright vacuum cleaner from Dirt Devil & 3 months later the belt broke during vacuuming. I have been attempting to contact customer service at the 800 number which absolutely no one EVER  picks up.  Just left on hold listening to music. Finally to order a belt on line & was then told no parts exist for that model.  Don't ever order anything made by this company as they are impossible to contact.
