SCAM REFUND MY MONEY

I purchased a car warranty from DIRECTBUYWARRANTY for my 2010 Mercedes GL550 on Feb 10, 2015 for $2,250. The payment was paid all at once. About a year later my vehicle went to the shop for service and I was told a sensor needed to be replaced. I had the service team at Mercedes to call the warranty company to receive payment for the warranty part and we found out that the company took my money and was under bankruptcy procedures. I called NY State and that stated I was put in the class action law suit but I was just out of my money. How could they take my money Knowing they were closing in days after taking it. That was FRAUD at the highest level and I'm out of my $2,250 and the cost to repair my vehicle $700 dollars.
