Making a noise on spin cycle.

The MAYTAG REPAIRMAN JUST LEFT. The noise that my 3 year old Maytag3000 washer is making will cost $1,050.00 to repair!  He said it is the bearing in the rear part of the tub and basket.  We are retired and bought this so called "QUALITY" product expecting it to last us many years.  We will NOT be purchasing a MAYTAG ANYTHING to replace it!!!!!!
