Scam calls. Don't give them any info

About a week ago I got a call from an English-sounding girl who said she was calling from world careers located in Arizona.
I just placed my resume on Monster.com and Careerbuilder.com so I was not surprised to receive this call.
She wanted to confirm some info about my resume. I asked her how long she had been in the states, and she then tells me she is calling from Africa and that they have international call centers there.
She then said she needs to confirm my home address. I asked her why she needed it since it was already listed on my resume. She sounded uncomfortable and I hung up the phone with her.
Looking at the number I see that the call was coming from overseas. I then did a little research and found the phone number 442070982450 is associated with a fraud.
They collect your information from the internet. They ask for your address and then send you an overseas money order for thousands of dollars. Then they involve you in some kind of money laundering operation.
If you gave out your address, and a bank draft/money order comes in the mail, give it to your bank fraud dept or the police. This is a form of the popular "Nigerian" fraud/scam. Don't worry if you did happen to give out your address thinking this was a real job offer, they can't do anything with just your phone # and address but send you fraud checks. Just don't try to cash them or buy into their scam.

I knew it was bazarre because the phone number was so obviously from out of the USA. The person on the phone asked about my resume and I told her I already had a job (lucky me). She asked if I was who I was and I said yes, I could tell something was up so I just hung up on the person.
The person who called me was a woman with a second language english accent and the reception was poor.
My cell phone showed 442070982450 as the incoming number.
I didn't answer the call and now glad I didn't. I heard about these Nigerian-type scams on one of the evening news shows like 20/20 or something.
If you are not sure of a number, try to Google it with no dashes. Most times than not, you will find out what the number is...unless it is a cell phone.
anyway to stop it....
Got the call, was doing something else at the time.
If you are reading this and on the phone with them, do me a favor.
Scream in the person's ear as loud as you can for me, since I was too distracted at the time to think about it till later.
