I'd like these phone calls to stop a number out of Ellijay, Gerrgia keeps calling different times of the day into the evening. I looked the number up and I found that the number is from a Randt Mcclure. The number is 706-273-3804 telling me that my automobile Warrinty is expiring and that is time to renew it. Well I have a used car that I bought private, paid cash for it .So it never had no Warranties on it. I'd like for these calls to stop.

To whom it may concern,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The telephone number in question, 706-273-3804, is not a working number.
It has not been in service for several years. Here is what we believe is happening to everyone who has received similar calls:
There is a telemarketing business out there who is able to misrepresent or "spoof" their outbound Caller-ID information. They have probably chosen this number at random or because they've discovered it is in reality a non-working number. This malicious business has been able to draw attention away from its real location and identity by using this unrelated number as its outbound Caller-ID.
We sincerely regret you have received such irritating calls, but we do not believe any customer of ours is making them. Also, please be assured we will be investigating this fraudulent use of Caller-ID from every angle possible so the source can hopefully be stopped allowing the calls to cease.
As a solution for the present, your local carrier (landline or cell) should be able to provide you with a Call Screening feature which can be used to reject all calls from specific numbers.
Thank you again,
Ellijay Telephone Company

There are a number of these "auto warranty" telemarketing scams in operation, including several located in the state of Missouri that were recently sued by the Missouri Attorney General. Since the heat is on, it would not be surprising if they would employ spoofed caller id information to confuse their location.
Note that they are not legitimately in the "insurance" or "warranty" business, but only in the "get your money" scamming business. Needless to say, any "company" that can't even be reliably located when they are selling their "product" isn't going to be there when you want to file a claim.
Your best odds are probably to contact the Missouri Attorney General, since they settled with several of these scammers, and those companies are operating under consent agreements. Scammers already caught, or who fear getting caught, are also likely to try to hide their identity and caller id information.
