Food safety and hygiene standard

We arrived in Magellan Sutera at 2pm and finished the check-in around 2:25pm on July 6th. When we entered the room, we realized the room cleaning was not done thorough and found a used sandal under the bed. The hotel staff was brought in and cleaned the room again by 3:30pm.

My friends, a young couple got food poisoning shortly after having taken the breakfast buffet at Five Sails restaurant within the hotel. They did not ate anything before or after the breakfast and did not go anywhere else.
