Cingular Wireless service and warranty

I have been using Cingular and AT+T for five years or so and havn't had many complaints until they merged with Cingular. I bought the new Ericson phone last year and had a problem with the screen a few months later (I left it outside accidentally for about an hour in freezing weather). The screen broke and I couldn't use it.
I called Cingular and the phone was un-insurable. I was surprised by this because I was not told that I could not get insurance on this phone nor was I told that my insurance had stopped since I bought the new phone. I had to buy a new one because I could not wait to have it repaired.
I was upset with the company then because no one cared in customer service or wanted to help. I got nowhere. Recently, the phone became insurable but I am told I still can not get insurance on my phone because I bought it before they covered the phone. It's the exact same phone and I can't get insurance! I didn't get a chance to insure it then and I still can't insure it even though they insure the exact same phone to other people! Cingular lies from beginning to end!
My service is dropped as much as any other carrier, the sales reps don't
inform you about the products, the customer service people don't ever help and they will not even try to hold on to long term customers; not to mention the billing problems my friends have had. I wish these huge corporate phone carriers would treat their customers better than a cattle rancher would their cattle. I really am left feeling like my business does not matter to them!
