Unwanted phone calls

They call at least twice a day every day, don't speak when I pick up the phone.  I am on no-call lists for State and Federal, and I have shouted this information into the phone when they call and don't speak.  They still call and it's annoying

    I received a phone call at 8:58 p.m. tonight, which is late for a telemarketer, I think.  I read about the solution on another forum, called the number, gave my phone number and told them not to call me again.  I am sure it is for BHG.  They have been sending me notices for over a year now to renew.  You would think they'd get the fact that I do not want to renew if I have not already done so.  It makes me not want to subscribe to anything ever again if I get this kind of harassment.

    They've been calling every evening for the last 2 weeks.  They let it ring 3 times and don't leave a message.  I have caller ID and don't pick up because I figured out it was Better Homes & Gardens and I haven't renewed the subscription for years and they keep sending the magazine.  I just looked up the caller ID info on the internet and to this site.  So I'm submitting my complaint.

    I have told them not to call this no. again, but they juct keep calling.  What Can I do to stop these annoying calls.  They never leave a message adnc I do not answer calls that I don't recognize.

    What part of RUDE AND ANNOYING do they not understand.  If Better Homes and Gardens wants to increase circulation, they should look elsewhere.

    Same here.  We cancelled our BHG even though they had us on an automatic renewal, with assurances in writing that we could still cancell if we did not wish to continue. Then Graven for BHG started calling,  and calling.
    My wife has politely told them we were no longer interested in BHG yet they kept calling.  I answered and was less polite in reaffirming that we would never again subscribe to BHG even if he was giving it away.  Now they call and hang up if I answer and talk only if my wife answers. Called BHG customer service and complained. They told me that our subscription had indeed been cancelled and that Graven is a 3rd party that misrepresents their marketing service as being on behalf of BHG and others. She said that she would pass this info on to publishing and unfortunatly it may require a cease and desist certified letter to stop them from calling. ($5.50)  I ask her "My goodness,  don't you people ever read the internet on complaints and keep and eye on how people feels about your company?"  I told her that she had lost a customer and stands to lose many more if they continue their auto renewal and marketing tactics.
    OH well,  who knows....good luck to all and we are sending the cease and desist tomorrow after we write an appropriate letter.

    The calls are driving me crazy!  We paid our subscription and do not want to renew, yet they keep calling.  UGH!

    We have received countless calls from Better Homes and Gardens to renew even though we have cancelled our subscription and asked them not to call again.  This is ridiculous.  There should be a class action lawsuit against them and they should be fined by the government since we are on the do not call list.

    Are there any lawyers out there that need the work?  Please go get them!

    I will NEVER subscribe to their magazine again.

    There should be some way to block these annoying calls. Putting your number on the Do Not Call list does no good at all. Very frustrating!

    I too, am getting the calls. I just went to their website to complain, but I can't even get to customer service without logging in--forget it! I'm not giving them any more info. I will NEVER re-new my subscription and you can bet I will let everyone I know about their practices and warn them against subscribing! If they were [roud of their magazine they wouldn't need to bully people into re-newing! All I can do is hope they get bored with calling me (I never answer) and move on!

    Not in BHB defense as we are inundated with Graven for BHG phone calls and hangups, the customer service center mentioned above cited 3rd party service going after renewals, I have several cross-stitch magazines and each one gets numerous 3rd party renewals sent EVERY month well in advance of end of subscriptions.  When the magazines are close to expiration the magazines themselves send their OWN renewals with better offers than the 3rd party renewals that come every month for each magazine.  However - STOP GRAVEN FOR BHG.
