You are dealing with a "health product" cramming scam.

Dispute unauthorized charges through your bank, and block the card number or close the account due to fraud to prevent additional fraudulent charges.  Follow up with a written dispute or fraud affidavit sent to your bank's dispute address.

Do NOT waste your time trying to get your money back from any scam through the scammer.  Always immediately file a bank dispute, as that is usually the only way you will ever get your money back.  If you leave your account or card number active, you can expect additional monthly charges, probably around $58 to $150, until you get wise and shut it down.  The couple buck charge was just a teaser to get your account number, and a test that it was valid.

The game they will play is to try to delay your bank dispute past the 60 day FRB Reg. E or FCBA dispute period, after which your bank will be unlikely to be able to get your money back.  To do this they will use various excuses, like "mailing an information packet" that never comes, "cancelling your membership" but they lose the "cancellation" so monthly charges continue, requiring you to get, and send in, a "refund request" that never has any effect, having to call a "refund number" that is ignored, or the cancellation "lost", etc...

File fraud complaints with FTC, your state AG, and at www.ic3.gov

As they say in the Marine Corps "I was ambused" I got the free sample for
$4.99 and used my debit card through my bank.  I was still using the free sample and then a few weeks here comes another bottle.  I looked at my
bank statement on line and I saw the auto debit for $74.99 from Peak Life
and right away told to stop this debit.  That's when PL told me I was suppose to inform them with 18 days to stop.  Same goes for Force Factor
supplements.  Same Scam...The FDA need to shut these scams down and make it very clear in BOLD LETTERS that comsumers need to try the free sample and quickly inform the stop using credit card #'s for auto shipments.

I was scammed by Peak Life.  Received unwanted Somnapure order totaling 76.00 dollars.  Shutdown account number on debit card immediately.  I fell for the Free Sample ad for just a shipping charge.  Learned my lesson.  even though I could have disputed the charge, but I just ate it.  Will never fall for the free sample scam again.

Just got a bottle of these pills in the mail and checked the invoice.  We didn't order these at all. I called Chase Visa and spoke with the Scams dept.  The lady filed a dispute, ordered a refund for this charge and blocked any future payments to Peak.  Great Job!!!

You would be wise to block the card number and get a new card issued.

These cramming scams often submit charges under different names or amounts, to get around attempts at blocking under the original name.  They may even wait a few months, and try again, hoping you forget to check and miss new fraudulent charges.  They are trying to slip through small charges and run out the 60 day dispute period so they can keep the money.

It's there -- in the FINE PRINT.  You have to call to cancel.  In order to find the number, you need to go all the way through as if you are placing another order, then of course they remind you that all trials come with conditions.  VERY misleading advertising.
