I bought a recliner chair a month ago from capperalls furniture co. in bellefonte. pa. I am very disappinted in this chair first of all it is so small  that you canno0t move your arms at all , the arms are way to high for the chair and they came out and put more stuffing in the arms , which only mad e it worse  my arms fall asleep  because they are to high up in the air , also the seating  cushionis so flat  you  feel like your sitting a board, and when it was deliverd , the front arm was nothing there but the board and the material was flat  what a mess and I want something done about this chair  I called the co I bought it from and they just blew me off , I have dealt with this co for over 35 years and never had a complaint before so I know that I am not just saying this, they just don;t want to bother with it because I want to return the chair because I do not want this chair at all so please let me know what you can do about this I really want my money back and would p urchase something else in a differnt design  also, the arms on the chair is not made right either the mateial was all bunch up and puckers on the one arm and the other arm was missing alot of stuffing  please look into this matter and let me know what you will do about it  the paper is still on the foot rest and we just don't use it is just to uncomftable to sit in  you are crunched in it and can"t move at all and it was not at all like that at the store when I sit in the one there So I don:t know what happen to this chair but it is not o,k, thank you Shirley Almashiep.s. My friend bought the same chair from the same co. and she wrote to you about being dissapointed, also my chair feel like it a left over or something\lift chair and front is odd and the back doen"t have a bottom flouce or what ever you call that material at the bottom of the chair to cover up , well you can look right at the back of the chair and see the ugly black feet odd shaped things  it is just plain ugly. thank you shirley  almashie

Having problems with my England furniture. Looks worn after only 10 mos. Store rep says this is about the usual rate of wear for the furniture.    The literature says the life of the furniture is 10 yrs. My husband says  that in 10 years there won't be anything left to throw away. I don't want it restuffed. I want  better quality furniture! Next move, the better business bureau, consumers protection agency and anyone else who will listen.

If your product is by England, try to contact them directly.  I have sold England Furniture for many years and they are one of the best furniture companies for dealing with issues.

It sounds to me, like the salesperson put you in the wrong chair from the start. If the arms were too high, then why would you order the chair? Did you not sit in it before you bought it? They don't change specs on chairs. Don't blame England when it was a poor choice. Who's to blame is either the salesperson, or yourself, and certainly not England.

    Confused by your complaint
I agree with England Dealer. If the chair is so small you cannot move your arms why did you purchase it? The number one rule of furniture is try it out and look at dimensions. Also if it's ugly again, why did you purchase? especially if your friend is having trouble. If you bought first why did your friend buy it if you were having trouble? This whole situation is coming across as picky. As far as them blowing you off... That's either terrible customer service or your just angry and exaggerating. To be honest I would go to BBB if it's that terrible.  for future reference make sure you know you'll like the look and feel of a piece of furniture before you buy it.

My sister purchased a lift recliner made by Lazy Boy. She paid 1500.00 for this chair. When the chair goes back to the recline position, the foot rest does not come all the way up, so you are laying back with your legs going into a down position that makes you start sliding out of the chair. while I was there visiting her, I found this to be very uncomfortaable and asked her to call the store that she purchased it from. She did, and they called the manufacturer who sent out a repair man to fix the problem. He came out and said that this is a problem with all of the chairs and there was nothing that could be done with it. It is the way the chair is made. She tried out the demo model in the store and the leg rest went all the way up. He said that all of the chairs made now have the same problem!.
This is totally wrong. She is invalid and needs to get her legs up! Not sliding in a downward slope. It seems that Lazy boy should refund her money or fix the chair!

I have heard that Lazy Boy have such a bad name and stupidly expensive. Lazy Boy should definately give a refund. In the short term you could look at an alternative recliner chair like Restwell, Cosi Chair or R&R. The Mobility Experts website has a number of good manufacturers you can deal with - http://www.mobilityexperts.co.uk/categories/rise-and-recline-chairs/

I was surprised to see an office chair which looked like CHARLES EAMES creation, When I asked the store executive at STAPLES about it, she confirmed and said YES it’s been reproduced and available at a very discounted rate. Guess, what I did?

I bought one and it’s so stylish.  Love my CHARLES EAMES chair. I’m planning to give one to my Dad as a present from the same SWANSEA SUPERSTORE, Liberty Stadium Wales. Note, that at STAPLES they call these CHARLES EAMES chairs Amalfi, Quinto, and Rialto.

On January 3 of 2009 I bought two (2) England Leather Rocker Recliners, Model No's 720052L, Invoice #188404, from Knie Appliance & TV in Sterling Il.  We've had them exactly two years. The chair's foot comes up, but the back will not stay back and slowly it reverts back to a sitting position.  We have checked underneath the chairs for an adjustment, but we find nothing.  The chairs aren't comfortable and mine has caused me back problems.  I have wanted to call the store and complain but my husband says there is nothing they will do because we've had put up with them for two years and it has been too long to complain now. The chairs cost us $767.00 each.  I think that $1,534.00 is a lot for chairs that we are not satisfied with.

I realize that there is nothing that can be done after this long of a time, it's our fault for not reporting our dissatisfaction,  but I wanted you to know our problems and that we am not satisfied with the chairs that we own.

Prior to buying the England chairs we had a pair of Lazy Boy's that we liked, but after many years it was time to replace them.  We now wish that we would have purchased two more Lazy Boy chairs instead of the England chairs.

There is possibly a very simple and easy fix for the issue you have been experiencing.  First of all you have a warranty for replacment parts on the mechanism and it sounds like you need new tension springs.  Second, you should be able to locate a hidden zipper along the inside back.  This will allow you access to the inner cavity and you can add or remove filler as necessary to improve the comfort of your seating. I will contact the store and advise them to contact you.  If you need to speak with me further, I can be reached at 423-626-5211 ext 1306 or philip.arnold@englandfurniture.com.

This is disheartening.  The internet catalog is beautiful.  I bought a Lazyboy 20 years ago and the fabric and cushions are still great - it looks brand new.  I was looking for more of the same.  Thank you all for the warning.

We've changed the color scheme in our living room and wanted to purchase a new LazyBoy to match.  After spending an entire weekend shopping for a recliner, I've come to the conclusion that LazyBoy's quality has SERIOUSLY declined since purchasing our original recliner almost 15 years ago.  Instead of purchasing a new LazyBoy, we'll buy a different brand.
