Three of us have a rental cabin, and the parter who did the accounting just passed away unexpectedly. It took a few months to assess the billing, but when it was determined that we were going to sell the cabin I called Dish to cancel the program, which was confirmed verbally by the Dish representative. When finally, five months later, the accounting duty was shifted to me I was shocked to see that the Dish programming was still an active account, and I call Dish to cancel and be refunded for the five months paid. I was told that they would not refund the cash, but that they would cancel the account, to which I replied that they had already lied about canceling once before, so how would I know? I went to the bank that handled the "ACH checking account bank withdrawals" and cancelled the auto payments. Additionally I filed a fraud claim with the bank which refunded two months payments. The bad news is that Dish has just billed me for those two months of payments. How can dispute claims with Dish when they make all the decisions? Thank you.
