Today is January 3, 2011.  We purchased a new ENGLAND sofa, chair, and ottoman which was delivered a couple of days before Christmas 2010.  The cushions are a horrible mess- they do not fit well, sink into the frame when you set on them and are flattening out!  The fabric cover slips all the time causing the cording to be misaligned and seems to be fraying because there are constantly threads appearing around the edges of the cording.  I have followed the advice of others that have complained and have contacted Philip from England Furniture about the issues with this furniture.  I am so disappointed in this furniture for the price we paid for it that I want to return it for a refund!  I will contact the store I purchased it from as soon as they open today with the same request!  We just redecorated our entire home and this furniture is making our hard work look cheap and seem invane! The items we bought are 10 days old and look horrible!  I will NEVER buy England furniture again and am prepared to take the next step if they do not cooperate with me on a refund!

I purchased England Furniture 2 years ago and only had it less than a month and the fabric was stretching.  After sseveral calls to the furniture store, someone came out and agreed to replace it with a different fabric.  Within 6 months all the cushions were out of shape and one corner of the material is stretching.  I was told if the cushions loose their shape, they would replace them.  Well, I have called 3 times and they continue to tell me they are taking it up with the company.  Noone has come out to see the cushions or made any attempt to replace them.  I wish I would have read these reviews before purchasing their furninture.  This is not furniture kids sit on, only 2 adults.  I am extremely dissapointed and will never purchase anything made by England or Lazy Boy.

The poor quality being referenced in the above blogs appears to be associated mostly with the fabric.  Fabric manufactures are capable of producing a variety of fabrics with differing characteristics of backing, color, nap, hand, sheen, and flexibility just to name a few.  It is quite possible that the consumer purchased a fabric with the ability to flex and was not happy with it afterward.  What I can assure you and anyone else who buys England, Inc. products is that we are performing rather extensive tests with our fabrics.  Many of our rejects become other furniture manufactures normal applications.  We have not been in business these past 46 years based on building substandard products and nor do we plan to start.  But rather, we build a quality product, load it with some of the better warranties that you can find, and we are available to assist you with an amicable remedy in the event you have an unpleasant experience.  In most cases an issue can be quickly and easily resolved by contacting the store where the purchase was made.  If you would like to discuss a concern please feel free to contact me at 423-626-5211 ext 1306 or at philip.arnold@englandfurniture.com.
    Thanks,

i bought two england sofas back in september of 2010, we bought the sofa's usin the money from our wedding. these are the first couches i've bought.  about 2 weeks into the having our sofa's, the cushions started to flatten, i called the store we bought the couches from and they sent out a tech and he took some pictures, they then ordered 5 new cushion inserts for me and told me to install them myself. (a real chore believe me).  about  5 months later, those started to flatten, i called the store again,  they ordered more cushion inserts, which once again, i had to pick up and install myself, i started to install them this morning, and as i was trying to zip the cushion up the zipper broke.  right now i am so fed up with my YEAR OLD furniture that is already starting to fall apart.
We have a very old couch that was owned by my wifes grandparents that as seen far more use than our new couches and they look brand new, so the question in not about the fabric, it is about the all around quality which is terrible,  i will never buy another england couch again. And that's that
