Don't use Europcar!

Had a bad experience with Europcar. Rented a car for one day, on return agent claimed that we had broken a front fog light and charge a huge amount for replacement.
A detailed letter to the Europcar CEO eventually got a reply after several months but the reply totally ignored all of my points as to why the damage could not have been caused by me and was frankly an insult to my intelligence.
One day rental cost over 500 euros.

It’s not until I returned the car I discovered I was overcharged. I returned the car the the middle of January. I went straight to the front desk and made a complaint. I then discovered through the Duty Manager that I was charged for Value Cover I did not want it in the first place.
This Halina did not explain what it was when I picked up the car. I feel she was misselling. The duty manager said he will investigate but nothing has happened. I am very disssapointed with Europcar. I will use Avis from now on.
