Called from 877-214-5814 looking for my former brother-in-law. That's not a rare occurrence as I get calls for the whole former family regularly. It was a pre-recorded message that wouldn't transfer me to a person, but wanted me to call back to the same number. Red flag when I did that it was a very generic message that required another opt-in to get to a person. Collection agencies WANT to hear from people who can help them, but scammers want access. Maybe this is real, but it's not even my problem and I just want my number off of their list (don't we all?). Reading this made me glad I simply hung up when it seemed too tedious.

    Reported to be a "shakedown"..
    Other complaints report they're collecting on bogus "payday loans", using the usual Buffalo-style shakedown tactics:  calling relatives as if they're "skip-tracing" to imply they're "suing", belligerent and abusive collection, and withholding a;; information on the alleged "debt".
