It appears that my 3000 Series Washer is following suit with the rest, and after reading all of these complaints I've almost decided to go out and get another machine rather than repair this one.

Mealnie, do you have Maytag behind you with regard to repairing this obvious lemon product you've put out there on us innocent buyers?

I can't say that I would ever purchase another Maytag.

      Don't bother..they will not do anything for you and will not refund your money. We have a broken washer after only 14 months and the only thing they will do is "pro rate" one year which leaves us having to pay $398 plus $175 shipping for them to replace our washer. That means we would pay that on top of the $550 we originally spent 14 months ago. Maytag is making a lot of money off of screwing customers and we will never buy another Maytag applieance again. I am spending every spare moment I have writing reviews at as many places as possible to help spread the word so more people don't get in our situation.
