Privacy!

I am concerned with the lack of shower curtains!!!! Of course the female locker rooms have them but not the male's? When I contacted LA Fitness & asked why they could not give me a good answer. I got the answers... it's for safety; it's to prevent multiple people from being in one shower; it's because guys don't really need the privacy; it's because of the age of guys that use the showers probably don't care; it's because nobody has requested it; maybe if an incident happened they would do something about it... so when I said if it's safety, or to prevent multiple people from using the same shower then why do the females have curtains, they said "I don't know"; I then brought up that there are often underage kids in there & there is no reason to have them showering openly in public with grown strangers...apparently not a concern because an incident has not happened, how about being proactive? They don't know. When I asked why means of privacy had to be requested instead of just doing it in the first place... they don't know. Also, what society do we live in that the gender & age of a person determines what privacy measures are taken??? Discriminate much???? Again, they don't know. They also said that there are not many guys that actually use the showers... I bet if they had privacy they would. There is no good reason why there are not shower curtains, & I'm sure when (not if) an incident happens more people are going to wonder why there was not privacy measures in place. Very disappointed in this gym right now, I have requested that they do something about this & I highly doubt it will happen. Perhaps even with their multiple gyms in every city they just can't find the money to do a basic change protecting the privacy of their members.
