They have lots of similar complaints..
Lots of consumers have been reporting attempts to collect on "an old payday loan", that they claim they never took out. Under FDCPA, they have 5 days to mail you a letter notifying you of the alleged "debt" and that you have the right to dispute and request documented proof you owe it, that they will obtain from the original creditor and send to you. FDCPA also prohibits abusive, harassing, or deceptive collection. You can sue a debt collector for violations. File complaints with FTC, your state AG, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Include details in your complaint of any FDCPA violations, such as threats and abuse, or false statements or deception.
