Phone restarts when music player is on

My new Sony Ericsson W850i phone restarts whenever someone calls me while I am listening to music on the phone. I does not happen every time and when I went to a local service center they could not re-create this, and refused to do anything. I paid good money for this phone and now don't know what to do. I miss half of my calls while my music is on.

I'd suggest that first, you file a complaint against the dealer with Sony Ericsson directly online or over the telephone.
Then go back to the service centre and have them upgrade the firmware. Just tell them that it keeps freezing intermittently at different times and in different functions. Complain and then ask to speak to a manager, supervisor, or store owner.
Performing a firmware upgrade only takes a few minutes and will ensure that your handset has the latest bug-free software running it. Just because my old Sony-Ericsson T68m was running with R2D001 does mean it works properly all the time, but updating the firmware to R8A015 sure did fix all the problems I had and made it very stable! And did I mention it only takes a few minutes to perform and costs them nothing! Absolutely nothing!
