I called the WEN company when I received my last package to say no more because I still had some left and a whole package in my closet yet.  The lady talked me into keeping it at a discount and told me that they would place the account on hold so that the only way I'd receive more would be because I initiated it.  I had since received a letter reminding me if I needed more.  I also received an invoice in the mail stating Amt. Past Due: $103.33 dated 07/05/2011.  I called right away wondering what this was about and they said they had sent me a package.  I was furious because this shouldn't have happened and to boot I never received it.  She told me that when I do receive it that I needed to use the return code RA071511ARG.  I did tell her that if they come to my door I'd refuse it but they hadn't.  I now have just received an other invoice on 08/15/2011 dated 08/02/2011 stating it was 2 months past due.  I called to enquire what the heck was going on and the lady states that Purolator had delivered the package to my door but I never did see or receive a package nor was it ever signed for as proof.  The lady continued to say that she was going to send me "an other" package and that I couldn't return it since the return window was up.  This I don't understand since it should only apply from the time one receives something.  This is nuts.  She also tells me that I should have filed a complaint as soon as I realized I didn't receive it.  How could I since I never was expecting one in the first place.  I told her that when I called the first time they where aware that I hadn't received it yet. Please clean this mess up or else I'll report this to the Better Business Bureau and advise them of your company's behavior.  What's a shame though is the product is fine but the people behind it aren't.

This is a pattern of fraud common with on-line purchases of overhyped "health products".

Dispute fraudulent charges immediately through your bank, under FRB Reg. E for disputing checking account charges via EFT, ACH, or debit card, or under FCBA for credit card disputes, and close your account due to fraud to prevent additional fraudulent charges.  Your bank can reverse fraudulent charges showing on statements dated up to 60 days earlier than your original date of dispute.

Follow up to your bank dispute with a written dispute or fraud affidavit sent to your bank's dispute address, and file a fraud and theft complaint with your local police, FTC, your state Attorney General, and at www.ic3.gov.

Shady companies will generally try to delay you with promises to "investigate", lies about how "you agreed", promises to send a "refund form", and other tactics designed to delay you past the 60 day dispute period where your bank can recover your money.  That is why you MUST dispute unauthorized charges immediately through your bank.

I was told the same thing about the $103.33, I was told it was installment payments and everytime I receive a 3 month supply I would be charged in installments. $43.43, then after 28 days it would be 29.95 and then 28 days later it's another 29.95. I re read the WEN website and no where does it say anything about the total being $103.33. It says directly from the website "After 30-days you'll conveniently receive a new 90-day supply every 3 months and you'll lock in the special low monthly price of just $29.95 a month plus $10.99 s&h per shipment unless you call to cancel." No where does it say anything about installment payments or a grand total of $103.33. I called my bank to dispute the charge after I called WEN to cancel. The woman at WEN that I talked to said I would no longer be charged. My bank has now blocked WEN from charging my card further. Just waiting to get dispte forms in the mail from my bank so I can fill them out and send them back.
