Awful experience buying furniture

I purchases a set of bedroom furniture from Bassett Furniture Direct. When the furniture was delivered I noticed that one night table was damaged beyond repair. I contacted the store and asked for a replacement.
The woman I talked to was not anxious to help. It took them two weeks to get back to us with a replacement.
The replacement piece came with no wrapper on it, and it was obvious it was not a new piece but rather a floor sample. The night table had a few scratches on it. I again refused to accept it, and told them if they don't give me a new piece I would like to return the second night table I already have and get a refund for both of them. We thought we could buy the night tables from a different set that we already found in another store.
The store manager said No to our refund request, so I contacted their corporate office. There I was told that the store is operated by independent owner, and they have their own refund policy. How convinient.
It has been 5 weeks and I am still waiting for a new night table.
