I have been a direct tv customer for over a year. As I yesterday I have terminated my service because I am tired of dealing with an incompetent company.
Lesson to those who don't know never bundle direct tv and century link. Neither company wants to do any work all they want to do is transfer you to another department to let you know that this department can not help you. I have been told it is not up to the company to make sure they bill you correctly but it is up to the customer to review their bill and dispute the charges. Yes I was told this from Century Link. Then once you dispute the charges it takes months for them to give you the credit but you still are responsible to pay the charges that they billed even though they are wrong. For eight months direct tv billed me for an NFL ticket that I did not want, did not order and called to cancel within the first billing cycle. Eight months I was billed and every month I was told to not pay that portion that the credit will be applied. Now it is my responsibility to pay any disputed charges and if I don't it will ruin my credit. And I have excellent credit. I should be able to cancel the contract considering Direct Tv was unable to withhold their end of the bargain.
