Maytag Centenniel Top Loader Washing Machine

We bought a Maytag Centenniel top loader washing machine, large capacity and commercial grade 7 months ago.  Worst machine we have ever purchased.  Unable to wash many items in the machine as it gets off balance if you have more than just a few items.  Machine almost jerks out of the wall and it is hard to get it to stop as the lid is locked.  You can't leave the room while washing clothes and it needs constant attention.  I have never seen one load of clothes take nearly an hour to wash.  Called Maytag on December 27th and they will not do a thing even though it is under warranty.  Total rip off of $600. 
How can companies get away with making products that don't work?   Totally disgusted with Maytag.  Will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.  Will be going to the laundromat for the first time in my life.
