They seem to think it is the world's job to correct their erroneous records, yet other consumers also report that they ignore corrections.
Send them a letter, mailed certified, notifying them that they are calling your number (nnn-nnn-nnnn) for a person who you do not know and who cannot be reached at your number. Demand that they cease their harassing calls.
If you have further problems, file complaints for FDCPA violations with FTC, your state Attorney General, and the New Jersey Attorney General. Include a copy of your cease communications letter that you sent.
Then find a consumer attorney and discuss suing for violations of FDCPA and TCPA. FDCPA allows courts to award damages, plus statutory damages up to $1000, and your attorney fees if you win. TCPA allows penalties of $500 per call, or $1500 per call if "willful".
You might try www.naca.net to find an attorney in your state.
So far I havn't got another call from MRS so maybe this will work for you.
It says you have produced a paper trail of the complaint against them in the records of the regulatory agency, that you could produce that in court as evidence of their failure to comply with the law, and that unlike most consumers you are likely to pursue further action should the problem continue.
It also generally results in an inquiry letter sent to the compliance department, rather than some minimum wage employee more interested in how many letters they ignore. If they have half a compliance department, they are likely to act on that message even when they ignore the usual phone complaints. If not, you are further along toward going to court.

Second, file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I just did this for MRS ASSociates last week, and received a personal response from the BBB that this complaint would stay in the company's profile for three years. They also send a copy of the complaint to MRS, and I believe that if the company gets enough complaints on file, people will stop doing business with them. Constantly getting BBB complaints forwarded to them should get them annoyed enough to be more responsible with their information and keep it updated. Good luck everyone!!
