On 3/26/12 I initially spoke with Chris at Southwest collection services who informed me the amount of the debt I owe is for 147.23, making a long story short Chris agreed if I called back to pay the debt the same day he would waived the $10.00 additional fee. Upon checking my credit card balance the same day Southwest collections although agreed on a telephone recorded call to only take the $147.23 from my credit card instead took from my credit card the amount of 158.23. Upon my disputing with the floor manager Heather Singh who informed me there is no way possible for them to return the $10.00 then I have to send them a copy of my bank statement the money was cleared if it did not clear and they did not take more money than they agreed to take on the recorded telephone call why would I have a dispute, she agreed to listen to the recorded phone called to see what was said and the conversation and call me back in 5 minutes which she never called me back and as far as I am concern the company has committed fraud taking more money from my credit than the amount agreed.

Chris lied, and Heather is brushing you off.  They both figure you won't do much over $10.00, and they are probably right.

NEVER make payments to debt collectors over the phone.  Once they have your card or account number, that's when they pull this cr*p.  And now that they have your account information, what's to stop them from taking more, claiming this is just some partial payment?

File complaints with FTC and your state Attorney General.
You could also dispute the unauthorized amount through your bank.
