Dirty clothes, musty smelling, too wet or not wet at all and tears clothes

We have always trusted Maytag, but this Centennial commercial top loader is awful! Clothes come out dirty, musty smelling, too wet or dry and way too many clothes are being torn in the washer.  We have tried putting the soap in that's where the clothing  cleaned the washer ,  attempted to check the sensors and I don't know what to do about the tearing of the clothing.  I would be happy if I could just get a washer that has a regular agitator... I will never purchase another washer like this
