Pay Day Loan

An email was sent to me this morning with the Subject line stating " Settlement Notice". No information in the body of the email stating who the company is that I allegedly received a loan from, which bank they deposited the fund into, a point of contact or a phone number but, threatening to file this " Debt Owed" with the courts and notify my employer if I do not pay $1099 today. I am concerned because I have never taken out a "PayDay Loan" with any company ever especially not on line and these fools have my SS#. NOT COOL! Has anyone experienced this type of fraud before and what steps did you take for this not to impact your livelihood?
