I did not authorize $53.49 charge to my American Express card. My husband, Wayne, may have done this in the past on an automatic deduction. He has alzheimer's & I do all bills. We have no need of this. My son-in-law put protection on for me. Please take this off & do not do this automatically. reference # is: 320161160219531348.

This site is just a consumer complaint forum. Contact AmEx directly to dispute charges, and have them block the card number to prevent further charges. Make sure you have established good credit in your own name if you have not already done so.
Selling account information is illegal, but there are sleazy scammers who trade in it. It typically shows up when some victim receives some strange hard-sell sales pitch, maybe for a "discount membership" or similar intangible of no value, and monthly charges start appearing.
On contacting the company, they will claim "you agreed", maybe even that they "have a recording" (which they won't play), maybe another attempt to sell, and barriers put in the way of "cancelling" the fraudulent charges.
Your best response is always to dispute through your bank as fraudulent, and block the card number or shut down the account.
