This is the exact sms I just received this morning and it goes as follows: "TOYOTA! You have won a brand new (TOYOTA YARIS CAR) from TOYOTA WORLD MOBILE PROMOTION with Ref. no: TMW999UK. Call claim center on 0218381167, for your claim".

Now really do these people think I am stupid. I haven't even entered a competition lately to win a car. What I would like to know is where do they get ones number from to send these scam smses.

Luckily I am not blind enough to fall for something as stupid as this.  People, open your eyes to scammers!!!!

TOYOTA DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS BEFORE YOU LOSE MILLIONS IN CLAIMS!!!!!

    This is exactly what I received but because I have entered a competition which I stand a chance to win a toyota Yaris I fall for it and called them and they asked for my physical address I gave them my work address.Dammmm!!!

    I received the same sms on my mobile phone today,  Ref number TMW722SA WITH CALL CENTRE NUMBER 0726294024.

    Received a disturbingly stupid and intrusive sms that goes:

    "TOYOTA YEARLY PROMO!  You have won a brand new (Toyota Yaris Car 2014 Model) Ref NO: TMW722SA. Call claim centre on 0726294024 for your activation & claim.

    I did not enter such a competition.

    TOYOTA .... DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS.  THE NUMBER IS THERE! YOUR COMPANY NAME IS BEING USED TO TRY TO CON UNSUSPECTING PEOPLE!  THIS IS SERIOUS.  YOUR INACTION IS TANTAMOUNT TO CONDONING THE ACT.
    WHY NOT DISTANCE YOURSELVES TO SUCH DISGUSTING ACTS.
    THERE IS FACEBOOK, TWITTER, INTERNET, CELLPHONES, PRINT MEDIA.  USE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  UNLESS YOU ARE WANT THIS TO COME BACK AND BITE Y'ALL IN THE BUTT.

    this is the message I received 10 minutes ago, I did not enter the competition, To Toyota yo need to the nail these scammers that are using your name

Call claim centre on 0765039462  for your activation & claim. no answer when you call,  I received this at 13:06 today, I did  enter a competition for a car, so you can imagine my joy to hear this news only to find it is a SCAM!!!! Come on Toyota what are you guys doing about this or can I come and collect my car????

    What if you fell for this scam, and sent through your details.
    what do you think will happen?
    because I phoned twice to this guy, and he claims their company is in canal walk.
    and when I questioned him, he got upset, and claims his name is MR Johnston.

    do any of you know what will happen from here onwards?

    Ek het dieselfde sms gekry. Hulle is so uitgeslape...dink ons sal val vir hulle belaglike storie. Ek het die girl heeltyd gevra vir die papier om te se dat ek die Toyota Yaris ontvang het....sy sê sy mag ongelukkig nie dit vir my mail voor ek die betaling gedoen het nie.

    received the same sms this morning your number has won R1 million in Toyota 2015 ref:Uk055SA contact Jeff on 0834823407 I replied  you must go to stupid people to scam them not me foolish dogs.

    I received this sms"congraculations,you have won yourself R350 000.00 from corn flakes promo ref no k960sa please contact 0218381167 for your claim."I left a message on their answering machine saying  "take that  cash and [***] off you bloody crooks",but nobody called me back cause its a scam.

    I also received the same sms.  I called the number from different phone and pretended I wanted to talk to a specific person.  It was answered by a black "gentleman" who insisted on asking me for the ref. no.  I insisted that I wanted to talk to a specific person and he hung up.  Yip another scam and Toyota needs to do something about it.
