Check your cancellation terms from your contract.
Health club contract fraud commonly takes advantage of ignoring "cancellations", letting monthly fees pile up, then sending the "delinquent account" to collections.
Make sure you cancel, IN WRITING in accordance with your contract, mailed Certified, Return Receipt Requested, so you have proof of your cancellation.
If they are auto-debiting your account, you may also need to shut down the account or block the card to prevent further debits, as health clubs frequently ignore cancellations and just keep taking money as long as they can.
