i had a man call me from a paetec communications number 646-351-1249 telling me he worked for the attorney generals office and was a proscuting attorney and that i was being sued by cash advance america  for a online loan of 698.00 that i took (which i never did) he took 45 minutes in telling me that a warrent would me issued for my arrest and i would be picked up in 24  to 48 hrs he had my dob my ssn in which my wallet was recently stolen and had that info in it after a 45 minute arguement he finally gave me details and another number to the place that was this cash advance america (646)3679911 which is a number used with us lec communications he gave me a fake case number and all

police report was made on my wallet anyways the phone call added to it paetec communications was also called and a report made with them social securtiy is also called

he was a foreign man with a india accent

    i just got the same call same man with accent very hard to understand but he said my ssn would be blacklisted i looked up the attorney generals office phone number in my area and...big surprise it didnt match i called the man back and he said the attorney general will get right back to me...still waiting

    So as a person who works for a courthouse within the 5 boroughs... my friend told me what happened and I decided to call.

    First, anyone attempting to collect a debt mentions that they are and asks you information such as name. The minute I called, he said, he needed 289.00 to be sent over through western union. AN AUTOMATIC SCAM.

    I told him if he was really suing, I would need to find out from who... ( I checked my friends credit report with her before calling here, and nothing was on her credit plus the only accounts she has open and in good standing are her student loans).

    Besides the heavy accent,... when I told him I was a court clerk and that is not how the matters are done in legal court... he said "fukc off fukc off". And hung up.


    These people are trying to scam people.
