I have continue to try to settle this acct from Verizon. I put my verizon bill on my bankruptcy back in 2001. I spoke with Jennifer Walsh & Christine @ Verizon who was stating that i owe Verizon over 400 dollars, they gave me 1-888-879-6810, to call about this i called and i spoke with Diane she stated that 2 of my accounts was in bankruptcy which was discharges in September 2001 & theother she states was Paid In Full, however when i asked to be mailed this statement, she stated that she couldnt & fo rme to go on-line to afnicollections and enter my acct number, which does not work. I have not received a response yet.

In response to debts alleged by AFNI, dispute and request validation in writing, via U.S. Mail, sent certified return receipt requested.  If you continue to have problems, contact the Illinois Attorney General.

If they already know that 2 accounts were discharged in bankruptcy, and the 3rd is Paid in Full, why is AFNI even attempting to collect on any of them?   No amount is even owed or legally collectable.

Even politely requesting payment on a debt they already know was discharged in bankruptcy is a violation of the bankruptcy order.
