I am being pursued relentlessly by this agency, although they refuse to identify themselves on their messages: ( "Hi, this is Patty, I have a quick question for you, just call me back on my toll free number!)We are receiving at least one telephone call a day from "Patty". And she gets angry when I don't return her sparkly messgaes! I was just contacted at work this afternoon by Carry ("why don't you ever call us back", he demanded. I directed him to NEVER call me at work. I'll bet I start getting messages here starting later this afternoon!
The credit card in question was lost over two years ago. I reported it as such, and the issuing company (Capital One) never replaced the card or the account, although I still have a separate account with them.
I have written letters to Capital One and disputed the charge. Somehow this has ended up with these low level collectors.
They have tried to engage my minor children in conversations about where I work. They do not identify themselves as from a collection agency. "Patty" tried to tell my 13 year old daughter that she was a friend of mine.

Were fraudulent charges rung up on your stolen card?

What are they (Cap One, or Northland) reporting on your credit reports?

    can't tell still employed there
this company is a mess, they allow there top collectors to collect a debt anyway they can. they care less about the complaints. they actually laugh about it. greg g. who is the vp of operations will not do anything to his top ten collectors. which are all men , no minoritys  or women. now the rest of the collectors are not treated as well they tell them to collect no matter what even if it breaks rules. and when you do you get fired and if you don't you get fired. belive me i know and have heard how they treat people but you can't complain or you don't have a job.that why so many complaints on company and lawsuits. even there employees are suing them. they get treated just like you.  watch out for this company the owner can care less who gets hurt while he enjoys his 30 cars and 5 homes and 20 dogs. and his twins being driven in a limo to first grade.

No surprise that they would treat their employees like their victims.

Contact the Minnesota Attorney General, and your own state AG.
