I have read the complaints online and had done what one of the ladies did to cancel her membership. I typed up and singned a cancelllation letter with my account number and date of membership.
I paid for it as registered mail.
On October 22 it was signed as received.
October 29 funds were withdrawn from my account. I assumed it was their last 30 day notice payment.. no problem.
November 29, another payment withdrawn..o.k...maybe it is the Oct. payment (since it was late in the month) and the "official 30 day payment...no problem.
Today ( December 28th) I receive a call from LA Fitness that I my account has been denied. They tried to take another payment out!!! WHAT!!!
I talked to manager Justine Rameriz, employee # 185474. He had informed me that he will "TAKE CARE OF IT".
WE will see next month if they try to call me for another payment...if so.. the Attorney General will be getting a call from me.
Can you say "CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT?"!!!
