    That often means you are dealing with a fraudulent telemarketer who is violating the Do Not Call law.  They start with an "excuse" for why they are cold calling you.

    They called me today on my cell in violation of the do not call list. I did the easy thing...I hung up.

    Called me this morning and left a message to call her back about part or full time employment, but conveniently enough, garbled the name of the company she got my info from.  Will NOT be returning this call...

    Tired of telemarketers
    Called me yesterday in the morning with the same reason as above, barely could understand since the person had a thick accent and could barely understand.  Guess it is best not to return the call....

    Happened to me too.  Two days ago. I called back 5 minutes later and then today. I thought I'd google her number to see what company she worked for and found your complaints. Oh well no harm done other than a few long distance call charges. Right? Hopefully!
    Just becareful of people posing as customer services calling to discuss and important matter or an emergency regarding your finances then asking to confirm the last 4 digits of your social. But no ones dumb enough to actually fall for that right?

    Ridiculous
    I've applied to a job for which i'm expecting a phone call. So imagine how i felt when i read these comments.

    I always look up unknown numbers just to see who it might be. im glad i did look it up this time as well, it's absolutely ridiculous!

    any way to report this person to the authorities?  sounds reasonable to do so...
