Payment not made due to return from the bank???!

I have been a customer since 1987!!! I moved from MS to AL. I had some mail issues due moving at a new address. I paid September’s bill over my cell phone. I signed up for automated bill pay through my bank! I received a billing statement from Directv stating my monthly account charge would be withdrawn from my checking account on December 17th, no action required! I then received a bill and an email stating I have been put on a 6 month restriction period bc I have been late paying my bill, and the bank denied payment! I have money in my account and the problem is someone typed in the wrong checking account number because all of my bills are automated payments! I am now left to pay late fees and my name is on a restriction list! I paid my bill today with my American Express card! Guess what? The lady at Directv said my card wasn’t valid!!!! I asked her to read it back to me and she typed in the wrong account number!! Ok she retyped my account number and my card is now Valid!!! It’s a Miracle!!!! I understand that we all make mistakes but not at my expense!!!’ I am ready to drop Directv because hard working people should not have to be punished for other peopke’s Mistakes!!! Do I need to fly to CO and pick up my bill before I pay it ? I am very discouraged over this sitsustiin and I hope this gets resolved, soon!!!!
