Hi, Has anyone received a threatening email? I do not recall getting any phone calls, but per caller id, Itend to ignore ones that are not from an area code I know. There have been no voicemails left though. Email states, they are taking me to court due to outstanding payday advance EFT denial. They will notify the FBI, FTC, my employer and bank, about my intent to commit wire fraud. I am freaking out. I have in the past ( over 8 mos) did do payday advances, but I believe those were all paid on. How do I, or anyone else, REALLY know?

The emails are intended to get you to call if you are a likely sucker.
They may call you, anyway, since it appears they try to get some information on their victims to use in the con. They reportedly get information from "payday loan" lead generation sites, or fake application sites.
" I have in the past ( over 8 mos) did do payday advances,"
You may have "applied" on one of the sties that sells to these scams, or on one of their fake sites. They know that if you apply, you may have other peyday loans, so you might be conned into believing you "owe" them for one of those.

They are liars.
"They will notify the FBI, FTC, my employer and bank, about my intent to commit wire fraud. "
They want the opportunity to con you before you find out they are frauds, so they want you to be afraid of calling the FBI, who will tell you just that. The rest is an attempt to threaten you with embarassment. This is an extortion racket.
Ignore them. They are fakes. The "debt" is fake also.
Not worth losing sleep over, and if they call you and try to harsss you, call and harass them back, until they learn they aren't going to con you, and move on to the next sucker.
