    I Check'em Out!
Email for this 6x12 trailer on craigs list is elizabeth@us-navy.army, when answered the person switches to eli68hrp@gmail.com.  There are 3 different listings for the same item, one indicates the trailer is in Salina, KS, the second is located in Topeka, KS, the third is located in Wichita, KS. Run an internet search for eli68hrp@gmail.com or for used cargo trailers in www.rv.net open roads forum and you will find the nearly indentical letter they will send you when answering their add.

You will find similar wording from other people.  They refused to send me their E-bay user name. Here is the email I received:

"Thank you very much for getting back to me but I would like to clarify
some things first.I have the clear title and the bill of sale.
All the paperwork notarized by a legal attorney are ready to be transferred under new owner's name.
I also want to let you know that the price is firm, non negotiable $800.00.
I am selling the trailer at this price because my
husband passed away not long ago (he was very sick) and this trailer
brings me bad memories and that's the reason why I want to sell it
asap. Another reason for selling it is because I work in military and
    right now I'm on a military base (814 Medical Detachment-Bismarck) on Bismarck,ND.
We are training and getting ready to leave the country.
The trailer is already at the shipping company Fargo, ND
ready for delivery because someone agreed to buy it,but in the end he
never got the loan. For this reason, the shipping is already paid for.
I will use e bay in this transaction for our protection. If you are
not aware of this program, you should know that it will allow you to
test and inspect the trailer before paying me.The inspection period
will be set to 7 days and I think that is enough time for you to make
a decision about the trailer . If you won`t like my trailer you notify
e bay and you send it back at my expense. But I assure you that won't
    be the case.

If you want to continue the purchase, please reply with your full
name, delivery address and phone number so I can start the transaction
with e bay and ask them to send you the terms of this transaction. (
with no further obligation or fees).Thank you"

I also had a run-in with eli68hrp@gmail.com today. Forwarded the whole thing to spoof@ebay.com.
    Claimed to be: Elizabeth Harper
    2065 Hamilton Ave
    San Jose, California 95125
On Google maps that shows as a closed ebay location.

She said she'd lost her husband 4 months ago and was in the military with a medical team and would be leaving soon and didn't want to pay to store the car.

I checked with ebay and everything is done through their website, never asking for payment to a personal email.
And once both sides of the card info is in their hands the money is gone.

Here's how the payment was supposed to go:
    Proof of funds Details:
    • The proof of funds method available for this order is eBay Card by eBay Inc.
    • The proof of funds will be sent to the eBay Financial Department. Please follow our instructions to complete the transaction safely.
How to complete proof of funds:
Proof of funds must be submitted via eBay Cards and they can be purchased only with cash at thousands of stores nationwide.
eBay Cards lets you enjoy the benefits of eBay without a credit card or bank account – avoid interest charges and bank fees.
eBay Cards is an easy and convenient way to send money to where you need it. Through eBay Cards services we can guarantee you
100% protection and insurance in this transaction.
For security reasons, the eBay Cards needs to be completed in person with cash at any CVS/Pharmacy, Kmart, 7-Eleven, Rite Aid,
Ralphs, Kroger, Longs Drugs, Fred Meyer, RadioShack, Smith's, all the stores nationwide including your local supermarkets. The
cashier will collect your cash and load it into the eBay Cards. There are no other hidden fees or charges. Just purchase your eBay
Cards, use cash to load it, register with your zip code and you’re ready to go.
Note: You can add only up to $500.00 for an eBay Card. For your purchase, you need to buy 4 eBay Cards loaded with $200.00 each.

How to confirm proof of funds
Once you complete the transaction you have to confirm the proof of funds by replying to this email notification with the following information:
    - Reply us the eBay Card information: 13-digit code (from the back of each card)
    - Send the scanned copy or a photo of your payment receipts by email and a photocopy of the back and front of your eBay Card, so we can add them to the files and validate your proof of funds.

On the back of the eBay gift cards it states that the eBay gift cards can only be used on eBay and by a registered eBay account holder. I'm wondering how they get the funds without eBay being aware of the transaction. Is ebay@orders-ebay.com also bogus?

skamkilla replies to I got scammed?
orders-ebay.com is indeed bogus.  No website at that domain, just a Parkingcrew page.
The scammers want you to think eBay is handling the sale, but eBay has nothing to do with any sales on craigslist.  They want you to pay them through gift cards because they are untraceable, and can't be charged back like a credit card.
