Hello All,

I called Amex travel services and got roped in. My credit card company forgave the charges and cxld/reissued my card, but now there coming after me. No need for details- it's the same story as all of you. LET'S DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS. lET'S GET THESE GUYS. HERE IS WHAT I SUGGEST:

Let's combine and let our authorities know about this. Contact me and I will help organize. My name is James Herth and you can contact me at jamesherth2@yahoo.com. We should all do the following:

Call our state Attorney General and the Florida State Attorney General
Call the Postal Inspectors
Call the Secret Service (this may sound funny, but they have jurisdiction over many types of fraud.
Call the three credit agencies before they report US!!
Obviously, call your bank, credit card, whatever is being charged, ask for there help.
File a harassment suit with the Pembroke Pines PD because they will not stop calling us/mailing us unwanted merchandise.

These are my ideas, let's band together and stop this. Our voices will be heard if we work together. This must be stopped.

Thanks,

James

Consumer complaints have reported receiving calls fraudulently claiming to be from their bank, including BofA and other large American banks.

Consumer complaints have also reported reaching them when calling numbers they believed were their insurance company, bank, or utility company.  Reported examples include calls to PG&E, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Citibank, GE Capital, Chase, and Discover (their card activation number).

A key question with this scam is whether they are intercepting calls via 800 numbers a digit off of legitimate numbers, or whether they are a fraudulent scam run from a call center that also handles outsourced customer service for legitimate U.S. companies.

What number did you call to try to reach Amex Travel Services, and then end up reaching these crooks?
