My wife purchased an umbrella from Umbrellas .com and we ended up with a $16.95 charge from Major Savings .com and a 21.95 charge from WC Essentials for Home. Together that is more than the cost of the umbrella.

I could not get a live person a Major Savings.  I did finally get someone at WC Essentials for Home who said we should have received a free gift and the opportunity to cancel their service.  We haven't received anything and don't want anything.

Luckily we have an excellent credit card company and they reversed the charges and told us what to watch for at checkout.  DO NOT EVER ACCEPT ANY DISCOUNT.

    These "discount clubs" have a history of not only obtaining your account information through deception, but running through charges under a variety of names.  You would be wise to block your credit card or close your checking account due to suspected fraud.  

    The Senate Commerce Committee has held hearings on the activities of this and other similar companies.  In addition, the New York Attorney General has launched an investigation, claiming they appear to be engaging in consumer fraud.

    yes I have had the same thing done to me now I have to cancel this card and get me a new one and I know not to ever buy anything on line again...So frustrated....
