I joined Bally Total Fitness October 2006. At the time the gym was located in a temporary matchbook type of rental space on the first floor of a medical building. This was acceptable to me since the new fitness center was under construction and set to open January 2007.  The new year was upon us and the "New Bally Total Fitness Center" was still not open.  I was told construction was moving slowly and the date was moved to late February 2007.  While frustrated and angsty for the new gym to open I had no choice but to stick it out within the confines of the office space amongst the growing enrollment of anxious and sweaty clients.  Once February came and the day of love passed I became very disgruntled and sought a means to end the contract early, on the grounds that, what was being promised was not being upheld.  I was unsuccessful in terminating the contract and again was stuck in the sticky temporary facility. Finally, in February 2007, 13 months later than the promised date of "Grand Opening" the new facility opened.  It was 3/4 the size promised, because the facility was to span the entire bottom floor of Perkins Rowe Condominiums.  Currently the last quarter that never opened is still covered with black visqueen.  The Fitness Center was supposed to contain raquetball courts, but of course they never opened. The Smoothie King inside the gym opened just recently in December 2008. This is to be cont........theres so much more to say.......

NEVER sign up for ultiyear health club contracts.  Multiyear contracts are just scams used to fleece the "New Years Resolution" crowd.
