Here is the letter I sent to Nissan Corporate, as it seems the dealership I am complaining about has a contact page that doesn't work:

"I spoke with John about the rude treatment I received when I came in for the "prize" I "won". He was concerned and apologetic and said he would speak with Jim. I hope the following makes it to someone who cares.
The "event" seems to be a widespread scam in which many Nissan dealers participate. Here a sample of what is a common theme of online complaints, "I just received a $500.00 gift card I "won" from Nissan of Darien (CT).  I registered the card as required and looked at the items I was entitled to for "free".  Everything was garbage and if that wasn't enough the shipping and handling charges which the cardholder pays were way higher than the junk these people were pushing.  I determined I wasn't going to be the next scam victim and proceeded to put the $500.00 gift card in the recycling bin where it belongs.  SHAME on Nissan of Darien for enticing innocent people with phony prizes!  I know one place I won't be buying a car."
I agree one hundred percent with this person. If Sipala Nissan vetted this scam and still ran it, then I truly understand I cannot trust the dealership. Since it seems many Nissan dealerships run this "event", I can only believe it is in the Nissan environment to be untrustworthy. The “event” is shady at best.
My "prize" card is going into recycling, and I will be sure to pass on my opinion of Nissan for running this scam to anyone asking me about buying a car. I agree wholeheartedly with the many who have said of dealerships using this "event" - SHAME on you! How sad to try to take advantage of people in such a way."

PLEASE send a letter to corporate Nissan if you feel the same way. There is power in numbers. (The quote I included was from this site. Thank you for putting the problem so well.)
