On April 17, 2014 at 10:05 PM, my husband and I came to order dinner at the Atlantic City KFC/Tacobell in New Jersey. We are from North Jersey and it's my first time being out here. We ordered 2 BF 5 Layer $3.38, 2 STK SFT Taco $4.98, 3 CKN Little $4.47, and one individual side of sweet kernel corn $1.79 and tax was $1.02, but clearly didnt find that out til the end of our visit there. On the intercom, Joan told me the price was $16.64, and I repeatedly asked her what the price was just to be clear on the change. We get to the window and give her $20.64, expecting $4 back. It takes a little while to get our food (mind you, we were there only customers at the time). I look in the bag to make sure the food is all in there, then I ask her for ketchup, hot sauce, and mild sauce. I received the sauces and just as I was about to pull off, I realized that I didn't have a receipt nor my change. I honked my horn like 10 times and just as my husband was about to get out the car to knock on the drive-thru window, the girl appears and we were like, "Where's my change and my receipt?" It took her 10 long minutes and another customer to pull for her to finally get the change and receipt. I get both and I see a $5 dollar bill in my hand and then I look at the receipt and the total was $15.64. My husband and I didn't even like the fact that she couldn't look us in the eye over $5. I thought these restaurants were better than this. Beware of the cashiers trying to keep your change.
