Cardmember services recording calls us about twice a month for the last few years.  Each time I am courteous and ask to be removed.  This time I strung them along and finally told them I will every time they call from now on.  They guy told me that he knows where I live, and then recited my address.  I am sick of this company.  How do we stop them.

    It's the only threat he could think of at the moment, and it's hollow.
    He can look up whatever addresses he wants.  
    What good does it do him?

    He's pissing off millions of people.  He not showing up at anyone's doorstep, ever.  He runs the risk the whole neighborhood would chase him out of town.

    Contact FTC.

    And keep stringing them along.

    If it were just one person using the time wasting tactic, they might learn to recognize it, but with thousands, it's much harder.  The only thing they can do about it is to hang up quicker, but they risk losing suckers, too.

    If they have to double or quadruple their handled calls, their opportunities to close a swindle shrink by the same factor. If you had to work 4 times as many hours for the same return, you would starve.

    Contact your congressman to file complaints against FTC for failing to stop these harassing calls, and against VISA and MasterCard for assisting this scam in stealing money from consumers.

    We the People should organize a place to get all the info together.
