washer repair

I have had a Whirlpool washer for about four years.  Recently, the machine stopped agitating. I contacted Whirlpool who sent a technican from an authorized repair center.  The repairman was unable to remove a bolt from the center of the agitator because it had rusted out apparently.  He told me it was a common problem.  Whirlpool refused to take responsibility for the machine defect and would not reimburse me for the service fee for their authorized technican to tell me that Whirlpool's four year old machines are not repairable.  Don't buy Whirlpool.  Piece of junk, poor customer service.
