warrenty issue spider

the spider on the basket is worn out and needs to be replaced according to the diagram in the owners manual(and when you try to buy this problem part) the stainless steel basket and the spider is all one piece....since the basket has a lifetime warranty this part should be included in the lifetime warranty
i call whirlpool costumer service and get disconnected 3 times then the rep tells me that their is no warranty after the first year and tells me she dosent know where im getting my info and refer to the whirlpoops site that confirms the warranty
their needs to be a law against making garbage ITS A WAST OF RESOURCES, MONEY AND OUR ENVIRONMENT.
unfortunately every appliance i have seen purchased in the last 3 years have failed within 1 year of purchase and not one manufacture honer their warranty... Samsung Maytag and Kenmore(the Samsung refer was almost the top of the line)
if you own an old Maytag from along time ago i would suggest you keep it and repair it or you WILL end up replacing your washer and dryer every other year same with refrigerators
